No sooner than the lie left my lips
My heart skipped a beat, a stutters’ lisp.
An internal lie detector taking measurements
Of the sincerity of my words, and I failed, piss.
Her expressions gave impressions she believed me though
Or she knew I was lying and didn’t want to know
But my body language told the story, so
My brown-face flush, ashy, like I’d seen a ghost.
Normally bright eyes were clouded and heavily sedated
Left corner of my eyelids, how liars fake it.
I chewed the bottom of my lip so long till it bled, naked.
A sacrifice for speaking words in vain, sacred.
I could only whisper, “I love you”
For fear that my ears would hear, and think it true
Or send signals to my brain, till for you I swoon.
Doped up on dopamine, crack fiend for you.
I was heated, her I hated
She could make me say anything once she got naked.
But it’s a thin line between love and hate
And a little white lie between sex and masturbate.
